A very highly rated defender, Amy was still at school when she made her first appearance for Scotland at the EuroHockey Indoor Championship II in January 2016.
Just one month later she made her first outdoor appearance for Scotland against South Africa and has since gone on to represent them in a Hockey World League Semi-Final, the 2017 EuroHockey Championships and at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She also helped her side to a stunning gold medal on home soil at the 2019 EuroHockey Championships II, a result that saw them promoted back to the top tier.
Since making her Great Britain debut in February 2018, Amy has also become a regular in that defence too, playing every game at the 2018 Champions Trophy and scoring her first goal for the nation against Japan. She also featured heavily during the 2019 and 2020/21 FIH Hockey Pro League seasons and was a reserve at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Amy was selected for the squad that played out in Argentina for FIH Pro League in December 2022, playing in 3 out of the 4 games, Amy received 100 combined caps for GB/Sco which is a huge achievement.
