Revised Schedule Announced For Postponed Tokyo Olympics
The new dates for Great Britain's fixtures at next year's Tokyo Olympics have been announced.
With the Covid-19 pandemic postponing the Games by a year, a revised schedule has been drawn up for Great Britain's men and women.
The men will begin their campaign against South Africa on Saturday 24 July, with the women beginning the defence of their crown the following day against Germany.
Both teams will play five group games, with the top four in each pool qualifying for the quarter finals. Great Britain's men will also face Canada, Germany and The Netherlands before finishing the group stages with a mouth watering clash against current world number one outfit Belgium.
The women will also face South Africa and The Netherlands while also coming up against India and Ireland.
Once the group stages come to an end, the men's and women's quarter-finals will be held on 1 and 2 August respectively. The semi-finals follow on 3/4 August while the men's medals will be decided on 5 August, with the women's the next day.
