The GB Hockey Board is comprised of three elected roles, those of President and two Independent Directors, who can serve a maximum of two four-year terms. Each Home Nation provides a representative (usually a representative non-executive Director). The Nominated Country (currently England Hockey) provides a Chief Operating Officer, Company Secretary and Performance Director.

Sheila was voted in as President of the GB Board in 2017 and has also been a member of the Hockey Wales Board since 2008. In 2019, Sheila was awarded an OBE for services to hockey in Wales.
As a player, Sheila represented Wales on 112 occasions across a 17 year career and was captain from 1982-1984. She also played 24 times for Great Britain and was selected to play at the 1980 Olympics but unfortunately could not represent the nation as they boycotted the Games.
She then went on to become an FIH Grade 1 Umpire and an FIH Grade 1 Technical Official, which saw her take on roles as a Judge at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics, Technical Officer at the 2010 Women's Hockey World Cup and Tournament Director at the 2012 Women's Champions Trophy.

Nick - who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of England Hockey - joined the GB Hockey Board in November 2019, coming from England Golf where he was CEO for four years. Nick has a background in sports administration having worked for the International Cricket Council, UK Sport and the Youth Sport. Nick is a hockey enthusiast and has played, coached and umpired across the country.

Bill has been an Elected Director of Hockey Wales for over 6 years. Since July 2023 he has been the Interim Chair of the Hockey Wales Board. In his personal life he is a Professional Engineer currently working in the pet food industry.
Bill has played hockey since primary school and was Captain of the Gwent Hockey Club development side for a number of years. He is a Level 1 coach and umpire.

Amanda joined the Board in May 2023. As a qualified lawyer and governance professional, she brings many years of leadership and governance experience to the role. She has a passion for sport and hockey in particular, having been an avid player for many years.

Kuldeep joined England and GB Hockey in October 2020, having spent nine years at the Rugby Football Union where she led financial planning, strategy and partnering teams. Kuldeep is a qualified CIMA accountant and is well versed in the financial operations of an NGB and its statutory obligations.
Kuldeep is also a coach and mentor for senior leaders across sport as well as being a board trustee for a charity offering careers counselling to vulnerable young people. -
Paul has over 30 years experience working in performance sport. He is an international rowing coach of world and Olympic champions and has held administrative and leadership positions at club and association level.

In March 2023, Paul joined Hoci Cymru and subsequently the GB Board as a highly experienced, successful, and well-regarded leader with over 20 years’ experience working in sport. He had previously been with the Ospreys for over eight years and as their Corporate Brand Director for the last four. During this time, he has played a leading role in the formation of Ospreys in the Community, with it becoming one of the largest sports development charities in Wales and had seen the Ospreys become the second fastest growing social media platform in the United Rugby Championship.
Paul has also spent the last four years as an elected non-executive board member of the Welsh Sports Association. He was born in Swansea and studied at both Cardiff Metropolitan University and The University of Bristol.
When not in work Paul can be found coaching girls’ football or watching as much live sport as possible.

Simon retired from international hockey in 2016, having represented Great Britain and England 212 times, scoring 62 goals. Simon competed at the 2008 & 2016 Olympic Games and also at three Commonwealth Games.
Simon has a vast amount of experience in the sport and is passionate about wanting to help grow grassroots participation, improve international rankings/medal results and generate an engaged fan base for the international men’s and women’s teams. Simon is now a Client Executive with EY where his role involves supporting clients across the sport industry ecosystem and managing key corporate client relationships.
