Elite Development Programme Nominations

Great Britain Hockey are seeking player nominations from coaches for the 2027 Men’s and Women’s Elite Development Programme incorporating the England under-21 squads

Please note the different closing dates.

• The nomination process for the Women’s GB Elite Development Programme is open until Friday 11 September at 23.59 hrs. 
• The nomination process for the Women’s England Under 21 squad is open until Sunday 20 September at 23:59 hrs

Please nominate all England Under 21 players (born 2006- 2008) for the England Under 21 progrmame; unless you have discussed the player with Simon Letchford (EDP Women’s Head Coach) prior to nominating  simon.letchford@greatbritainhockey.co.uk (EDP Women’s Head Coach)

• The nomination process for the Men’s GB Elite Development Programme (incorporating England Under 21) is open until Sunday 22 November at 23:59 hrs.  GB EDP Men 2027 Nomination Form  

To be eligible for nomination, players need to hold, or be eligible to hold, a British Passport and be over 18 on the 31 December 2026. The route to assessment for under 18 players is via their respective Home Nation age group programme. 

Please nominate those players who you genuinely feel can excel at international level and/or develop into medal winning Olympians of the future.

We would like coaches to identify the super strengths and super focus areas (development areas) for each player they wish to nominate.

You will also be asked for the following details when completing the form:

• Your e-mail address

• Your telephone number

• Full name of the nominated player

• Nominated player's date of birth

• E-mail address for the nominated player 

• E-mail address for the nominated player’s parent or guardian (if the player is under 18)

• Telephone number for the player

• Telephone number for the parent or guardian (if the player is under 18)

• School or university of the nominated player (if applicable)

• Club of the nominated player (if applicable)

• The player's preferred playing line

Please nominate those players who you genuinely feel can excel at international level and/or develop into medal winning Olympians of the future.

Verbal feedback will be given to the players throughout the assessment process.
