Great Britain women lost 2-0 to Australia in the 5/6 play-off but finished three places above their pre-tournament ranking and achieved their best finish at an Olympic Games since 1996.  GB men condemned Korea to their heaviest defeat of the tournament winning 5-2 over the 2000 silver medallists to achieve a fifth-place finish which is the best overall performance at an Olympic Games since the gold medal winning side in 1988.

The big cats are back again for Great Britain Super League 2010.  The annual competition, now in its fourth year, is aimed at Great Britain (GB) and Home Nation international hockey talent identification and will commence on Saturday 10 April 2010.

19.12.09 GB lose final Argentina test

Great Britain's intensive five match test series against Argentina came to its conclusion on Friday evening with a 3-1 defeat to Las Leonas in Salta.  Crista Cullen pulled one back for GB after they were 3-0 down at halftime.

18.12.09 GB seal well deserved win

Great Britain beat the second best team in the world, Argentina, in their own back garden on Thursday, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from captain Kate Walsh and Hannah Macleod.  Macleod's goal was her first for GB.
