London 2012: Two Years to Go

27.07.10
There are just two years to go until the Olympic Games, and Olympic hockey, come to London.  Keep your eyes out for Great Britain Hockey athletes appearing in papers, on radio and TV to help count down to London 2012.

With 731 days until the Games, a whole host of articles, features and announcements are planned this week by the organisers, the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOGOC), and the media alike.

London 2012 will need 70000 volunteers. Find out what it takes to be a London 2012 Games Maker from today at www.london2012.com

Remember too that you can sign up to register your interest in Olympic tickets on the London 2012 website.  After athletics, hockey will have the most tickets for a sport on the Olympic Park site.  Register your interest here.

This morning, GB Hockey's Chloe Rogers appeared on the BBC radio 5 Live breakfast show with Nicky Campbell live from the Olympic Park.  See blog pics from 5 Live here.

The BBC has launched its very own London 2012 dedicated website and most of the major papers will be publishing their own guides.  Great Britain forward Alex Danson has already appeared in the Independent on Sunday, defender Richard Mantell has spoken to BBC Sport about his hopes for 2012 and Performance Director David Faulkner spoke to the Guardian to file our 'progress report'.
